Core Defensive Systems:
A Martial Arts System developed by Sifu Carl Yap. The system is used for survival in everyday life. It combines the CORE concepts needed in a real life situation, not sport. This includes stand up fighting against grabs, kicks, and punches. Grappling situations in case you are forced into the ground. And weapons because this is the modern era and people pull out knives and other sharp objects. Also, guns is a major player nowadays. A quick lesson for that is to run away, if you can.
Core Systems included but not limited to are:
Kung Fu: People forget that it was the first MMA. Shaolin temple was the melting pot of Asia and most all asian martial arts came from there.
Jujitsu/Judo: A japanese martial art focusing on throws and ground defense.
Kali (Kamut Lihok) aka Filipino Martial Arts: From the Philippines where practitioners start out with weapons movements to help understand other ranges of combat and improve empty hand coordination.
All of these systems are combined into one class to help the student to be better prepared in a conflict situation.
Classes are Mondays through Fridays from 7pm to 9pm.
I interview students to see if you are of good character and if you have a true interest in training.
